Coi’s technique brings together dried botanicals, layered textures, and occasional hand-drawn or painted elements. Each piece is a balance of process —from the initial thought they are then carefully composed, evolving organically throughout the process. Often beginning with sketches transitioning to paint or mixed media before producing the work with natural and recycled materials. Some natural materials are specifically sourced for an idea, some remain sorted until the right piece needs them, and others serve as the initial spark of inspiration.
